When it’s not super important to get up on time, I use my clock. Which is about 6in from my head.

When I really need to get up on the dot, I use my phone. It charges in the closet on the other side of the room.

I find alarms stop working when I get used to them. My clock used to really kick my ass when I got it (it was pretty unique). Now I barely notice it. Phones have the edge there, any time you get used to it you can change it. Preferably to something everyone else in the house hates. At full volume.

Meh, not bad.

Today is my last day at work. I’m on vacation next week. My wife starts her new job on Tuesday and comes with a 15% raise from her old job. Things aren’t so bad.
